Katy Kelly, L.I.C.S.W
One of the great joys of my life is to experience the healing properties of the therapeutic relationship with my clients. It’s my belief that the relationship between client and therapist is the foundation for the growth and change that brings you to therapy. My aim is to provide an environment for you that is safe to explore old and current hurts, build awareness of patterns that are no longer working for you, and to encourage new ways to get your needs met and to obtain goals that are effective and life-affirming.
Katy holds a Master degree of Social Work from the University of St. Thomas/University of St. Catherine. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of Minnesota. Her approach is highly personalized for each client based on client’s needs and concerns. Theoretical approaches that often inform her work include Psychodynamic, Relational, and Cognitive Behavioral theories. Katy is skilled in working with adults, couples, adolescents, and children 5 and older. Areas of clinical strength are relationship issues, adjustment to life transitions, addiction, codependency, grief/loss, working with culturally diverse populations, depression, anxiety, and parenting.
